Welcome to episode one of Europa United’s Eastern Dialogue which is a new series of podcasts focusing on the many aspects and insights of Eastern European states located at the crossroads of Western Asia and the European Union.
This series is presented by Europa United Editor-in-Chief Ken Sweeney and Paris based journalist Viktorya Muradyan.
In this episode, we discuss the Eastern Partnership Initiative and Grigor Yeritsyan is our guest. Grigor is currently President of the Armenian Progressive Youth which is a non profit organization aiming to support, inspire and engage young people from Armenia and all over the world.
Viktorya, originally from Yerevan in Armenia describes the concept behind the series:
“With this initiative, I would like to close a huge information gap, and I want the European audience to know more about Armenia and the EaP countries, our problems and developments. I want to create and disseminate transparent news and analysis. I also want to encourage young EaP journalists through this podcast to make their work accessible to an external audience, write in English about their own countries. If we tell what is happening in our countries, no one will do it instead of us.”
